Remove them daily, brush gently with a soft brush and non-abrasive cleaner, and soak them overnight to let your gums rest. Do not use regular toothpaste as it is too abrasive.

Initially, stick to soft foods. Once you are accustomed to them, you can eat normally. However, you should generally avoid extremely hard, sticky, or very hot foods to prevent damage or dislodging.

An overdenture snaps onto 2-4 dental implants placed in your jaw. It provides superior stability (no slipping) and helps prevent bone loss. For many patients struggling with loose lower dentures, it is highly worth the investment.

We perform meticulous adjustments before you leave. However, if minor adjustments are needed later, any local dentist can easily adjust acrylic or BPS dentures. Valplast adjustments require specific tools, which we will advise your local dentist on if necessary.

A properly fitted upper denture relies on natural suction to the palate and usually does not require adhesive. Lower dentures, however, sit on a much smaller ridge and move easily with your tongue. While BPS dentures provide the best natural fit, many patients still prefer a small amount of adhesive for the lower arch, or they upgrade to an Implant Overdenture which requires zero adhesive.

It is normal to experience slight speech alterations (like lisping on "S" or "F" sounds) for the first few days while your tongue adjusts to the new appliance. We recommend practicing by reading aloud. Within 1-2 weeks, your speech will return to normal.
