Free Vietnam Visa for foreigners

Free Vietnam Visa for foreigners

"Vietnam waives visas for 5 more European countries of up to 15 days for visitors from Germany, France, the UK, Italy, and Spain starting this July 2015, " according to Nguyen Van Tuan, the general director of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, said at an international tourism convention.

Currently, citizens of ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) member countries do not need a visa to enter Vietnam.
The country also waives visa for single-entry visits of up to 15 days for Danish, Finnish, Japanese, Norwegian, Russian, South Korean, Belarusian, and Swedish nationals starting 2015 until 2019.

Unfortunately, Australia, Canada and New Zealand won't receive free Visas as yet.
But we see this is a step in the right direction and it may only be a matter of time.
Apparently a decision was made to attract more tourists after figures showed a drop in tourism numbers by 13% compared to May 2014.
